Ice Sledge Hockey

Ice sledge hockey, an innovative form of ice skating that is specially designed for people with physical limitations, is a new way to play ice hockey. Ice Sledge Classic is an exhibition game that lasts approximately one hour and is played on half-inch ice (excluding goal-post). This game was designed in a skating style and is very different from other ice-solving or skating games. Leading Swedish athletes invent ice sledge hockey after becoming frustrated by the sport's inefficiency. The 1966 World Championships were when Ice Sledge hockey was being developed by the players as they prepared for the Olympic Games in Vietnam. The players learned that their legs, in addition to their upper body strength, helped them increase their endurance, flexibility and agility during the development process. Ice Sledge was soon adopted as a professional ice hockey game.

Ice sledge hockey can be divided into two categories: North America and Europe. The blades of the Ice Sledge from Sweden are made of carbon steel, which is the most durable and lightweight. They can be customized and allow for full control. There are many other sizes and shapes available, including half-inch blades, quarter-inch blades and half-foot blades.
